Bankhead House and Heritage Center
Originally built in the 1920s by Congressman William B. Bankhead and former home of actress Tallulah Bankhead three-story story mansion was purchased by the Walker Area Community Foundation in 2008. The foundation has made efforts to restore the home according to the original blueprints. The home is open for civic gatherings and plans for art, culture, and history exhibits, as well as a Tallulah Bankhead memorabilia collection, are in the works.
